Throttle Body Spacer
Throttle Body Spacer
I'm sure everyone knows about the Power Aid throttle body spacers sold for SUV's and Trucks. It is basically a spacer that has a hole cut out of the same diameter as the throttle body hole. As the air enters through the spacer it torques it into a spiral. Gains are usually from 1000-2600 rpms and gives a lot of torque. Well there is an application for 1999-2000 Pathfinders which have the same throttle body mounting holes as the maxima's (I think they do). So do you think it would work? maybe any gains from it? would a 1999-2000 pathfinder throttle body mount on to our intakes????
thanks
thanks
Most times throttle body spacers are used to keep the throttle body cooler and in turn keep the intake charge cooler. They are made from materials that do not conduct heat very well. What you are talking about it is esentially the hoax product that was marketed as the "tornado" in a different fashion. Creating a "vortex" with the intake charge in the way that they are doing so, does nothing. Well, it does make them money, so I suppose that that is something...
