Is There Only One Wire To Your Knock Sensor???

Alright Guys I Got The Infamous Code 0325 So I Go To Replace The Knock Sensor . And First I Measure The Harness With A Vom And It Gives Me An Open Circuit . I Take The Senor Our Of My Car There Is Only A Single Wire Running To It. Is This Correct?? There Are 2 Prongs On The Harness , So I Open The Harnes Up And One Of The Wires Looks Cut And Taped With Electrical Tape. Can Anyone Help Me With This ? Cuz I Know That A Lot Of You Guys Have Changed This Sensor And Probably Know Whats Going. Please Help!!!!!!!!

They are all like that.

If you get the code, dont waste time testing the sensor or anything, just replace it.

Got to agree.

By the way, the extra pin in the harness connector is a grounding circuit for the harness EM shielding that surrounds the wire going to the knock sensor.
