Integrating aftermarket alarm with stock

I was wondering if anyone could give me any insight on integrating an aftermarket alarm system into my stock alarm...I have a 3rd gen GXE, so I have the keypads on the doors...All I really wanna know is if I can make it so they alarm engages the same time the stock alarm triggers (pressing lock on the keypad)...and disarms when the stock one disarms (unlocking with key or typing in the code on the keypad)...also, will both alarms go off at the same time...or do aftermarket systems use the same things stock ones do (horn, lights, ign kill)? Sorry for all the questions, I've never had an alarm system before, thanks.

Also, looking for alarm suggestions...remote start would be an awesome feature, but not neccesary.

I know it can be done because my setup is similar. I have a 4th Gen without the door keypads but with the factory alarm integrated with my aftermarket one (Viper, yeah baby). My soundguy did it for me. I can ask and see how easy it is to do it and what steps to take. As far as alarm suggestions it really depends on how much you want to invest. Most alarms nowadays cover the trunk, hood, doors as standard zones, however with added channels (which is what you are looking for) the alarm can also cover windows (w/up & down capability), rims (requires tilt sensor), battery backup system (if aftermarket and factory systems are disabled by intruder), remote start (nice to have if living in a different climate than socal), radar, and camera capability. If you are looking for an alarm that can perform some of this stuff I would suggest looking into a Clifford or Viper or one of that comparable to those. Plus you can get the alarms that now have 2 way communications that page you and tell you exactly which sensor was tripped with the led display.
