filament bulb to LED
filament bulb to LED
Alot of you have switched the interior dash and accessory bulbs to led's but has anyone done the same with the outer bulbs?
Like the brake, signal, clearance and back-up lights?
I understand there are replacement 1156, 1157 and 194 LED's that can be replaced with the regular filament bulbs.
Any feedback on brightness?
I know going with identical wattage as the factory bulbs will be important to avoid over heating and melting.
Anyone.

From my personal experience the signal bulbs will flash like the bulb is blown (fast) you need to be some adapter or something to make it think its a filament bulb. As for the brake lights make sure you get and led bulb that is bright enough, some you can hardly see.
Try here.

I am talking about the direct replacements of the bulbs with no modifications necessary.
several LED's are replaced by the glass filament on the bulb socket.
