What questions did you have? I wrote both. I can't find the other address though for the second write up, sorry. Pretty much the same though, just shorter.

Chris,
I know that its hard to describe, but I just wanted to make absolutely sure about the correct locations to make the cuts. Also, I have a side-marker that has the little white bracket broken off on the frame. This won't matter too much if the top of the side marker screws into the correct position right?

You're referring to the ball joint peice of the side marker light that attaches to the headlight bracket, right? This peice being broken is no biggie but it might cause the side marker light to move going down the road because it's not properly secured. I don't know how it's broke, but try to fix it or replace it. I have additional pics, but the ones on the write up are pretty much the most straight forward and clear ones I've got, just a few additional angles.

Chris thanks for your info. I will probably contact you again right before I actually make the cuts to the car. A few other quetions. 1)Tool of choice for the cuts? Will a Dremmel do the job? 2)Also can a HID kit be applied to the BMW lights if installed on the Max? 3)Do you know the demensions of the headlights for the new Audi allroad quattro? Do you think that they may fit on a 3rd gen?

Thanks for your help...

Tool I used was an air radial grinder. All I had so I don't know what would be "best." There should be a HID kit for the BMW's, but I couldn't tell you which one to order nor have I put one in. But, I have read that it will work, I'm just not familiar with how they are wired. I don't know the deminsions of the Audi light. Might want to make some rough measurements of the Nissan light, including depth allowances behind the light for clearance, then go to Audi, they probably have one in stock and can let you take a look at it, unless their butt heads! I don't know what these lights look like. This is TN, not too many Audi's around here. We're lucky there's one doctor who has a Viper!

Chris,
What thickness sheet metal did you use for your install, also check out this site:http://www.xenonshop.com/. It has kits for the BMW HID setup. Let me know your ideas. I was reading some mixed opinions about these kits, plus they cost $$. Anyway, do you have a close up pick up the cuts that you made, or close up of the BMW bracket? I am trying to see the easiest way to disconnect the bracket from the BWM lights, or to see if there is any part of the bracket I can use to hold them to the Maxima frame. Thanks...

Check out the aforementioned site: http://members.nbci.com/maxima_se/bm...structions.htm There are pics on this page after the write up itself. The sheet metal I used was mentioned in the write up as peices of curtain rod covers, the pics will show these peices, they are white. I don't know the thickness measurement, but they are pretty stiff, thicker than standard sheet metal used in heating and air shops. The HID, I checked it out and the prices are $310 per bulb set, that's a total of $1,240 plus shipping. If you've got the money, it should work, I don't see any reasons why it wouldn't, there's plenty of room. Again, check the pics, and the write up is as specific as possible. Anything else, just email me.

The shipping's free for the HID's on www.xenonshop.com. I paid $575 for my 9006 Philips/Hella HID kit from www.vtechsports.com . It isn't advertised on the site, you have to e-mail or call him.

Chris,
Whoa... $1240 could go to many other things besides some lights... I was planning on only going with the out-side lights for HID, sort of the whole purpose for me going with the BMW lights. Instead of having only one light to act as low and high beam, I would designate the low beams as HID, and only have to use the high beams in rare necessity. Anyway, $620 or even $575 is a lot to spend on lighting, but I may check into it. I would be the ultimate light upgrade... Thanks for your info again, I will probably email you this weekend>
