Went from Greddy Evo rear section to stock.

I may be getting old, but I got tired of the drone from the greddy rear section and went back to stock. (well I did have some chrome tips welded on) Still, I can't believe how much better the car feels. Not sure exactly what it is, probably all in my head, but off the line it seems faster. I still have the y-pipe and greddy b-pipe but it almost feels like I'm driving a different car.

did your stock rear section bolt on to the greddy b pipe? or did you have to modify. The reason I'm asking is cause I have greddy on my car now and I'm gettin sick of that sound. Does your car with the greddy b pipe and stock muffler sound stock or a little different than stock?

See you have a 3.0 liter engine so your exhaust is not as loud as mine. I mean it sounds great but it really gets anoying after a while. There are times when you want it and there are times when you dont want it.

Oh, I guess I can understand that. I've never heard the EVO on the 3.5 before.

I haven't heard the Greddy Evo on a Maxima in person, only sound/video clips. It sounds ok, but I hear about the drone, which I can't have. The look of it doesn't match the Maxima either...

While that may be a factor, I do have a y-pipe on the car, so that does make a major difference. By itself the Greddy is subtle, and actually sounds pretty good, but the noise lelvel does rise noticably with an aftermarket y-pipe. The sound right is almost, but not quite stock, with most of the growl coming from the CAI.

Oh, and some modification was required to put a stock muffler on the Greddy b-pipe.

you're not gettin old...you're just growing up...i too got tired of it, and got a frankencar. it takes purchasing a loud exhaust to appreciate a quiet one.
although, the sound the FC makes when i go WOT, man oh man. suhweeeeet.
