Are those 16's!? I hope they are superlight. Do they make the car faster at the track? Are those new or are you getting bigger ones?

To be honest, the rims look a size too small to really set the car off IMHO.

the rims dont look like 17 especially with that tire size. you should have gotten 245/40/17. that is the proper sidewall size. that is why the rims look small but i am glad hey are lightweight. the stockers on my car weight in at 45 pounds each. looking to get some lightweight rims also. want the SSR rims off tirerack.

I've always liked the Black/Bronze combo. I use to have a Prelude with the same setup...anyhow though they are a bit small the ride is the same which is a big plus over having larger wheels.

From what i understand the diamiter actualy matters more than the wieght. so i want to stay the same as stock if not smaller in diamater on the tire size.

Ehhhhh.. for some reason, those rims make the car look so dull. I don't know what your motives are.. make ur max into a full racing car, or a show car, or u just wanna be different from the rest of the max.. or whatever. But like everyone else said.. they look way too small.
Atleast your car looks different then everyone else.

I don't really like it. Over here in NYC, we prefer big rims. If you don't have the stock SE rims, then u better be riding on some 19s.

Good job.

thanks that is the first really nice comment i have gotten. and the rims do look better in person with the camera angle and the biger tires the pictures do look bad and the rims do look small. But the wheels for me are for Form and Function. my times whent down with bigger wheels and my ride sucked so these have the race inspired look i am going for i understand everyone opinion of the wheel and i am ok with most people not likeing the way my car look maybe some better pictures will do the trick.

I LOVE IT. looks more rugged and i bet rims dont look small. black color tends to minimize stuff and white maximize so that is the only reason why ppl percieve it as small. just put the 2k black taillights and she'll look even better.

ok for my opinion on what i think would look sweet on your car would be some 2k-2k1 SE Black Maxima Tailights, clear corners, clear out your hids and install DDE and a maxtunning front lip. Is your car lowere?. pics are too dark to tell. and shave all the emblems off the back. that is my opinion. what you think

LOOKS AWESOME...don't listen to these stupid rice boys, those wheels make your car look like a super-fast track-racing all-other-brand-eating rocket. In summary: VERY NICE CHOICE. i don't like small sidewalls i like big meaty tires. (I come from a volvo background, lots of rally cars, maybe thats why i like it so much)

More misleading info. 245-45-17 is the closest to stock diameter size available for the 00-03 17's. Check facts before making assumptions. Most use 235-45-17 with there stock 17's bc 245 is too wide for a 7" wide wheel.

BTW I like the look myself, I was looking at those a while ago in the polished finish before I got my Axis.

It says it right there that he's got Eibachs. You should really clear out your HIDs and get the clear corners/SE tails. That would look hot on a black Max and it would make the rims stand out a lot more If you care about racing too much, why not get some steelies or something for the track?

The rims look sweet, don't pay attention to what people tell you. It's your car and you do whatever you want with it no matter what people tell you.

no i like the way it is lowered i just couldnt see it because the pics are dark. and i like your rims. i am thinking of getting SSR Competition rims for my max. Stockers are too heavy.

And tires

245/45/17 is not right. i am telling you.
this is how it goes
225/50/17
235/45/17
245/40/17

everytime you go up 5 on the width, you decrease 5 on the sidewall.

I think it looks very nice. Personally I would've got 18's but I love the bronze on black look. I was hoping to ship back some bronze gram lights when I go to Japan in Nov. but the SSR comps are sweet as well.

Your not taking rim width in to consideration. I have 17x8's not stock 17x7 a 235 45 17 would stretch out on my wheels and the side wall would be shorter.

The rims look small. You should smoke your headlights and get HP Lightnings in 19".

Before assuming any tire size can go on any cars make sure you get the facts.
http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html You can get exact tire size on a
particular rims and make comparison to the original size.

Everything looks clean except the rims are little too small on your car.

Thats right, the further you push out the mass of the rim the more power it takes to accelerate the wheel. I like the black bronze combo and the size is fine, nice ride. I would put on clear corners though.

Your stock wheels are right at 25lbs and wheel and tire are right at 49 as I recall
he is talking wheel weight only not W+T.

I like the rims. I think it only looks small because of the fact that the lip area is wider. If you look at MIlle Miglia EVO 5 they look bigger than you would think because they have a small lip area and HUGE spaces between the spokes. I do like the color combo and yes, TINT TINT TINT. Btw, i think you should try a smaller sidewall.

yea the lip area is big. I know alot of you dont understand why i bought the smaller size but for me it is the way to go. I have had 20' Lowenharts on the car 18' niche Shocks, 19' ADR X-factors, 17' black C-pros, 18x8 gunmetal Exel Wheels, and now these. I do not lack in the rims department. I just like the way more tire ride and handles the road. plus i love the way the Bronze on Black looks. i almost got these in 18' but then no matter how much i like the look i would have hated the ride. Thanks again for all the comment i like to hear what other people think of the car .
