So I need struts/shocks. I was looking at the Tokico's but I'm concerned about the reliability. What position do KYB's play? Does anyone have them? How is the ride?

Can I put OEM Max SE suspension parts on my GXE? Is the strut the same or is it just springs?

Wow, lots of questions!!

I don;t know about now, but when I bought my Tokiko 5 ways (for my other car), they came with a lifetime warranty. You can't get more reliability than that.

KYBs

I was advised to get KYB from my performance shop because they said that the ride would be smoother than with Tokicos. The ride is rough but my car was also lowered at the same time but I'm sure the roughness is mainly becuase of the new springs because KYBs are almost considered stock replacement. I find that the KYBs are doing the job and they also come with a lifetime warranty in case they fail prematurely for some reason.

I just got me some Tokicos and Eibach, but I was a little hesitant about the ride quality. They are, of course, much firmer than stock. But I would say they are firm and tight, not uncomfortable. And handling? Dayyyummm.....
