Here are a couple of updated pics...nothing major...

but just thought I would share what I have done Friday and part of Saturday.

I had originally finished the hood on my car a while back but when I got my new paint gun at Christmas I wanted to test it out. I decided to paint my hood (since I already preped it) to put on my 92 GXE. I did this mainly because the hood was bowed a little and although I got all of the bow out it still never fit the car perfectly. The good thing is I got a good fitting hood without a bow from my 92 for my 93 but the bad thing is that it had hail damage and damage from people closing the hood with their hands instead of letting it drop.

I shaved the window squirters on my old hood and decided to do it on this one too since I really like how it turned out on that old hood. I will be using Jeep Cherokee squirters under the hood because they are very small and rectangle and do a very nice fan pattern.

I originally was going to be re-replacing my quarter panel this weekend but I have had some problems getting the back glass out because of the strenght of the aftermarket glue that was used. I dont want to get into why I am re-replacing the panel because its a long story but I am. Since I couldnt get the glass out (I will this week when I get some help) then I decided to work on the other stuff that needed to be done. The hood and the fenders. I worked on repairing the small dings Friday and welded the squirters and primed it on Saturday. The filler is not thick on the hood. I hammered out what I could and smoothed it out with glazing putty.

I will prime the hood and top of the fenders (they are off the car in the pics below) with polyester primer and block sand them slick Monday or Tuesday. Then I will take my doors off and finish them up. Once I get some help I will finish cutting out the back glass and replacing the quarter again.

Anyway here are some pics. Like I said its nothing major but I wanted to post my progress along the way.

Here is a picture of the hood after I did the repairs:

Here is a picture of the hole I cut (using a hole saw) where the squirters were. I did this because it is easier to make circles than that funky shape the squirter holes were:

Here are the circles I cut out of my parts car fender:

Here is one of the circles being held in place just before welding:

Here is the circle welded in and the welds ground down:

and here are a couple of pics of the hood in epoxy primer. I picked blue because I figured it would be better if I got a rock chip to have blue primer under it but I didnt realize it would be baby blue. I didnt know until I got home and opened the can LOL. Oh well its better than black or grey if I get a chip:

That is all for now. I will be updating either this thread or making a new one in a few days as I do more work.

Just underneath the hood there. The nozzle I am using is really small and uses a nice fan pattern so I can mount it just about anywhere. It will either be on the hood (under and hidden) on in the plastic that is around the wipers. I havent decided yet but it will probably be on the hood itself.

Soo much better without those stupid nozzles, I bet it will be nice waxing it. Are you going to take out the reservoir and lines too? you could shave a little weight, probably 10lbs. I dont know what you would do though, cause the low fluid light would probably pop up.
