Double Checking... I should NOT get a ecu upgrade if I want Nitrous

doesn't mean you can't run some form of fi if you have a modified ecu though. I have a TS ecu and am waiting on my nx wet kit. You just need some means of retarding timing. A couple of ways I know of:
jwt "nitrous" ecu as mentioned above. This is an ecu with the typical advanced timing and modified fuel map that TS also does, but a daughter card is thrown in to retard timing back to stock on nitrous activation. Costs a few hundred more than a regular jwt modified ecu. Not worth it imo because if you later want to go turbo/sc you have a very expensive and useless ecu.
Better to get a J&S Safeguard. Retards based on knock detection and retards per cylinder. With the Safeguard you have so many options on how you want timing retarded. I hope I have no problems installing this sucker.
