I need to swap an old, bent moonroof shade with a good one in another SE. I started kind of yanking on the old one to see if they maybe just snapped into the track. Didn't work and I don't want to force them.
Anyone out there done this before? What's the trick? I appreciate the help.

Did you get an answer or find out what to do? It's real easy, just gei inside, slide roof back and remove the cover on each side (right & left) then you can see the bolts holding the roof on. Remove them and lift the roof off. The slide then can be removed by sliding it forward and lifting it out. When you put the new onein, be sure it is in the correct track, it has to be in the one at the bottom or things will bind.
