Nissan Trade-In Event?

I've received two letters regarding "Nissan's First Ever Trade-In Event", begging me to trade in my 2002 6-speed Maxima. They are offering an "attractive incentive" to trade in my vehicle for a new Nissan. Is this just a shady sales pitch or is my 2002 6-speed Maxima somewhat in demand in the used car market? By the way, I have no immediate intention of trading in my car - I'm just curious.

Your car with 6 sp man is in demand. I've receive those letters as well. They'll
give you much less than what your car is worth and offer you an 04 max with
no discounts, rebates or apr. Don't do it. take a look at what they're
offering and see if you can negotiate as low as you can take it and walk away.

I don't know about you guys, but I would NEVER trade in my 6-speed for the 6th gen. Even if they were to give me an even swap.
If I ever would do that, I'd sell if right away and buy another 5.5 gen.

I get the fliers all the time, come in and the salesmen know me They just go... ok so which car you wanna beat the crap out of today ? I always ask for the Titan now.... friggn thing lays patches of rubber like no Nissan ever has ! They know I won't buy a new Nissan unless they get me a new R34, S15,S14, S13, or Z32- and I mean brand new- and we all know its pretty much impossible. I just go in to beat the car up, get the freebies and get some free food
