Hey guys. I need some help. I've never had a supercharger on a car nor do I claim to know the ins and outs of it. I have a '98 Max 5-speed with 171k miles on it and I've already purchased a Vortech supercharger. MY question is what I should do to prepare for this install. What do I need to check and what parts to I need to upgrade or replace to ensure that I don't blow anything up? Help! Thanks a lot guys!!

 

with 171k get the compression tested!

 

Do yourself a favor and look at the top of this forum for the SUPERCHARGER sticky.

And a compression test would be a great start.

A fuel pump right behind that.
