Mine fit well, you sust have to heat the pieces a little, I dont have the real kit, mine is synthetic.

Basically, there are 3 main companies that sell dash kits for the maxima.

Joshua Tree, sells real and synthetic kits, but their fit is hit or miss. Some people have great fitting kits from them, some don't. Mine fit like crap, so I got rid of it.

Alkaplus sells synthetic kits for really cheap, like $105 on Ebay. But the fit is crap, and the finish looks really cheap in my opinion.

Perfect Image Creations sells a kit, it's real aluminum, but the most expensive. I have one on my car and you can go to my website to see pics. My car was the prototype for their kits, so I can attest to the very good fit of the kits. Also, some of the pieces have been combined, giving a cleaner look.

Or you can just paint it like mzmtg. It looks decent, just don't mess up, I've seen way too many badly painted dashes.

I liked the look of the kit in shadows car...but...

I didnt like the way the parts on the window switches were flat metal. They didnt look right sitting on the curved switch plates.

My $0.02

try: www.executivecleancar.com I bought mine for my 96 and believe me when i say it "fits like a glove". Blows away any real aluminum dash kit or the other syntheitic kits from Alka ($hit) and Josh Tree (crap).

Cost me $180 to my door.... Ask for Chris and tell him Anthony sent you for a better deal.

Should I call my credit card company and have them refund the payment?

I'd like to point out something abuot fitment:

If your car was the car they proto typed it, it will fit just fine. The problem is not all dashes are equal. We'd like for them to be, but they are not. What that means is you can run into a situation where on one car it fits fine, but not on another.

I had the very first al dash kit from JT, it was a beta version if you will. The fit is fine on mine, and it wasn't proto typed on my car. But it didn't work well on shadow's car. So I guess it's alsmot a hit and miss with mostly hits, imho.

P.I.C.I. kit

shadows car had the prototype and he said it fit great. I don't know him at all but i was the first person to buy his kit and it fit great. i had the JT kit before and was not impressed at all. i have nothing to gain from shadow or P.I.C.I to say good things about the kit but it by far is better than the JT kit in my opionion.
