I am planning on changing my right rear speaker, and I was told that I had to remove the rear seat to take off the cardboard deck then unscrew the speaker from the top. What i need to know is, how the hell do i remove the back seat.

1) The bottom part: There are two little rings underneath the cushion. Pull on the rings and the seat will pop up, then slide it out.

2) The top part: There are four bolts - two in the armrest, two on the ends. Don't know what size, but unscrew and the seat should pop off.

3) Pop the doorsill and pull the door trim.

4) Then unclip the seatbelt plastic thingie on top.

5) And the rear deck should pull out.

Its a Royal Pain

First if you look at the bottom of the seat you see too plastic pull out tabs. Pull those and the big seat cushion should release.

When thats gone youll see that the seat backs are attached to the car with bolts at the base. Remove all of those bolts. I think there are 4 or so.

Once that is off all you need to do is remove the rear deck. To get it off, you have to remove the side panels by the rear passenger windows that hold the rear deck down. Both panels are a pain to get off, you just have to bite your lip and pull hard (atleast that is what i had to do) to get them off.

The rear deck just slides off after that, then its just plug and play.

Good Luck

be careful after you remove the backseat, the clips are sensitive on the seatbelt covers and the back deck.. once you do pop them out (you have to pull.. just pull from the places where you feel screws), and then pop the carpet on top off but make sure you disconnect the rear dash brake light connector.. i think you have one too.. if you need help with rear speakers ask me.. i just put BA 2-ways..

Or you can just scan a picture of the back seats into your computer use PaintPro 7.0 (or whatever it was) and just use the 'Laso' feature and move them out in 2 seconds.

Just messin' with ya'. I sent you an email, did you get it?
