3rd Gen Garage Cleanout
Hey kids.. been a long time since I've been on here. As is obvious from my lack of presence, my life has moved past the VE and it's time to clear out the stuff in my garage.
All prices are local pickup in Rosharon TX (about 30 miles south of Houston), or plus shipping. For the heavy stuff like engine parts, it doesn't make sense to ship since you can buy it at a junkyard for less than the price of shipping a core head across the country.
Engine mounts- $40 for the set. front engine mount is torn, others appear to be in good shape.
VE Oil pan- $20
VE cams (stock) $50/set. includes 1 VTC. not sure which cam is which, but you can see there's a full set there, minus one VTC.
Front head, w/ front and rear valve covers- $50. I believe this head has cams in it as well, but I've forgotten and too lazy to go look since it's raining. probably where the missing VTC is from above. I had planned to mail this head to a cam grinder to do some custom cams, but never got around to it. unknown condition, came off a core engine I tore down for parts. consider it a rebuildable core.
Upper intake manifold: $50 all parts in great condition- NO RUST. Bought it from Craig Brace about 10 years ago and it's been sitting in my garage since.
A pillar covers- $20
Dash bezel thingy w/ clock (clock is in unknown condition)- $20
Rear seat leather- $40 the bottom of the seat is in great shape. top is a bit crusty on top of the headrests and has a small (approx 2") tear in it (see photos)
I'm open to negotiation on things with a reasonable offer, but lowballers will be ignored. (check that. I still have moderator privileges and will you for lowballing. )

Addendum... I have a bunch of other 3rd gen stuff, but lost all the photos I took. There's a pile of Bose speakers, about 10 clocks, a couple door switches, a huge pile of mirrors, Addco rear sway bar, A/C radiator fan, random piles of other stuff too. maybe I'll get back out to the garage this weekend and go through it all again.

Pretty sure I chunked all of the Bose head units. The ones I had were all the oooold 89-91 units with tape only. the one that was in my car when I bought it was dead.. Then I collected a few more junkyard samples.
I'll have to get a count on the Bose speakers and get back to you on a price. I know there's some amps in there (entire front door pod assembly), as well as a few bare drivers. You want all of that? Not looking to get rich by any means- shipping will probably be more than asking price.
99% sure I don't have a rear center piece unless I wind up parting out the car. I hope someone buys the whole car, but considering the response I've had on it, I might wind up parting it out.

Hi-jack a thread of a good friend
Hey, Matt,
good to hear you are alive and well.
If anyone monitoring your thread still has an interest in keeping their 3rd gen on the road, I have on offer TWO identical black 1993 SE with 5-speeds. One is the "nice" one that has been mone since early 1995. It has the stereo, the sound deadening and a perfect leather interior. It started making the cam chain noise that no longer goes away. I believe it could be worn or broken chain guides, but the racket is so bad I no longer drive it. It has had Royal Purple oil changes every 3-5k miles all its life. Now at 220K or so miles.
The other is the one you helped me buy from Bret Elder. It still runs well. I have been told the engine and transmission had been rebuilt. TZhe synchros are indeed tight, and the engine runs well. That car is a shopping list of engine and suspension upgrades.
For someone with some time and inclination, a great car can emerge by combineing the two, and a complete parts car will stand by as oem body panels are becoming harder to find.
There is a fair amount of loose parts (ignition coils, injectors etc.) laying around.
Anyone interested can contact me via pm here or email jcqcomm at gmail dot com and I will send pictures or answer questions. I am thinking $1200 for both cars. To anyone on the board I will leave the stereo. Bot cars have very recent tires, and the second is current on reg and inspection in TX
Matt, I will contact you in the near future just to catch up. I hope your matt93se domain is still up as that is the only contact I have remaining.
Thanks to all,
John
