Dynomat all speaker areas or no point?
Dynomat all speaker areas or no point?
Will there be a difference in sound quality if I put dynomat on areas where the bose speakers as well as the bose subwoofer is mounted? Iam not into getting a new sound system just would like to somehow improve stock bose system.
I'd recommend doing the whole door, not just the area around the speaker. That way you'll probably be able to get a few more dBls. But with stock system, I, personally, wouldn't do it. And yes, it does add a little weight, so if you're into performance and all, that's a no-no
The dynamat helps improve the midbass some. Behind the door panel is a peice of plastic held on by a goo. That doesn't prevent the sound from the rear of the mid from cancelling out the sound. Atleast the dynamat will act as more of a baffle. It seemed to help in my car for my aftermarket components.
Housecor has a great write up on how to do the rear deck panel. http://www.innerbean.com/housecor/bose_deck_fix.html
