99 ECU Codes? (different than 95-98?)

I have a 99 SE that I bought last week, and the CEL/SES came on today. Followed the normal 4th gen ECU code pull procedures, and I got the following codes:

14 06
04 13

Neither one of them matches anything in the ECU code lists posted here on maxima.org.

I'm sure I got the order correctly. Long flashes first, then short flashes second. I counted them 3 times to make sure I didn't make any mistakes. I shut the car off and did it again just to make sure I was reading it properly.

I know the 99s have a different smog setup and wiring than some of the other 4th-gen cars, but what about the ECU codes? I looked at the 5th-gen forum to see if they have a list of CEL blink codes, but they only list the Pxxxx codes that come from OBD2 readers.

What gives?

Matt

bump!

if I can't find out, I guess I'll get AutoZone to pull the codes via OBD-2.

0413 is an upstream oxygen sensor circut slow response fault(left bank)

nothing in the haynes for the other

i also checked 1304 and 0614 and got nothing for then either

when i went to autozone they tried to tell me that my code was for my evap canister when in reality it was my egr

typical that it would fail the month i have to be emissions tested.

good luck

The 99 has more of them but the numbers represent the same code from year to year.

thanks. I'll have to get AutoZone to check via OBD2 to find out what the other code is.
