Best Inexpensive

Hey guys I'm about to buy a Maxima its 96 GLE 5sp with 96k. I was wondering what the best inexpensive mods were for me to be running low 14's. Because I want to kill my friends stock 04 GTP. Let me know. Get this thread started!

You sure it's a GLE?

GLE's don't come with manual transmissions from the factory.

If all you want to do is run low 14s, skip all the BS and get a wet nitrous kit. See the nitrous forum for more info.

I know its the 5 spd and a 96 but i thought it was a gle maybe not. It has leather!YEA!!! lol ANywayz, I'm not sure about the whole wet nitrous thing. Any other ideas? I mean nitrous can get expensive after a while cause you have to keep up with maintence very often and plus injectors and crap go bad to easy and your constantly fixing things.. RIGHT??? I dunno i've never ran nitrous on a maxima so im not quite positive on the aspects of it. But does anyone have any other input ??

Please go to the nitrous forums and do alittle reading before you start assuming that nitrous creates all these problems. MZMTG, but it best by stating look into a wet kit, mainly because it's going to be the cheapest way to get you into the 14's. What ever route you take you should upgrade to a better clutch.

yeah nitrous will be the cheapest route initially to get into the low 14's...then you can keep the rest of the car completely stock...however, nitrous over time will get expensive if you use it a lot!!!

with a 5spd max....you can get into the low 14's relatively easy....as long as you get all the NA mods possible....an almost assured, consistent low if not 14 flat car would be intake, y pipe or headers, high flow cat, b pipe, muffler, ecu, mevi, udp...and throw a lightened flywheel on there if you have some extra cash and time...

I wouldn't try to take your friend off the line...but from a roll, it would be a very close, drivers race, and you just might have the edge!

I've been driving a standard for 2 years now and racing so Im gonna have the upper hand big time on him since i mean he has an automatic so its gonna take him longer to downshift.
