hi all,
just about ready to hand my car in for inspection. only problem is my taillight fuse keeps blowin. i have a short somewhere but don't know where yet. never had a problem before and all of a sudden i was driving at night without any tail lights.

not sure if any of you guys have seen this but in the back of my trunk by the jack holder passenger side, there's an electrical connector which i don't know where it goes. it's got 3 loose wires which i have taped up. bought this car used about 3 months ago and don't really know the ins and outs of it yet. what's the best way to find a short in the car???

also the antenna 3 wires which shouldn't be affected. i think there was something here before that was maybe taken out.

Had the check engine light on and it came out to be a problem with IATS. i bought a Intake air temperature sensor from the dealer last week. looked all over the engine to find it and realized that they probably gave me the wrong part. anyone seen something like this before? cuz i finally was able to find my IATS and it definitely doesn't look like this fella.

dealer told me they don't accept returns on electrical parts... gonna try to go back today and argue my case.
was able to find my IATS finally and saw that it was hangin loose. reset my ECU and check engine light has been off since.

any help appreciated thanks.

 

anyone? suggestions?
