Hesitation, Miss, or Exhaust leak?

Im having this VERY annoying problem right now. I noticed that about 2 weeks after I went with a straightpipe exhaust to a N1 muffler, that sometimes when I give it full throttle from a dead stop, there will be times where I will get strange popping sounds from the exhaust, and there is a BIG power loss, then all of the sudden it will kick back in and im pulling hard again. This is getting very annoying when a dodge neon drops to 2nd and I can't walk him as easy as I'd like. This cannot happen anymore, has this happened to anyone else? Please sumbit your opinions.

i dont feel loss of power since removing my cat but i do get massive backfires. Thats what that popping sound is. When i just rev or even when i'm driving and let go of gas and just cruising at midrange rpm's, i sometimes hear it, sounds like sh*t if u ask me but a sacrifice for the few horsepowers we gain since we're boosted.

I mean Im talking about while Im at full throttle, it will pop and kinda cut out then *snap* its back to normal and I get this big jerk because im getting my torque back. It's really getting on my nerves, I don't know what to check. Im gonna start with checking plugs// my excellent exhaust welding, lol?
