use a flat head screwdriver, put a towel or cloth over it and stick it between the vent housing under the clock and then get ur finger into it, pull it back towards you and than up and it will pop right out.

oh i unerstand that the whole thing is together.
i am just uncertain about the air duct/ clock part so that i can access the screws behind it.. does those come out as well? the airduct clock? i am thinking so

so i put the flat head w/ towel under clock, and i prty the clock out, or do i pry the clock and airduct together, since they are suppseod to be connected?

thanks for the clarifications.
