it should bolt right up...im assuming that bar is adjustible...make sure you have it adjusted to the proper length..

Well,no i didn't bend the bar but there was some slight bending required on the end, since my problem was mostly the hole lining up i just made 2 out of the 3 a bit BIGGER so they would all line up.
it's ok for all the questions i feel you bro, that bar almost made wanna go get a Honda! J/K!!!

No, i don't think that would matter, but we have the exact same car, So i dunno, maybe try the Cattman bar, same price as the courtesy bar.

My OBX Bar

I've been reading this and another thread regarding the OBX bar. Well, mine came today and there seem to be two problems: a.) The holes definitely dont line up! I tried rotating the bar around, etc but to no avail. They must have screwed up on the hole positions for this batch of OBX's. b.) There is a metal pipe surrounded by insulation that is protruding next to the passenger side wheel well that *seems* to be interfering with the bar clamping down correctly. However, since the holes don't line up anyway, this is a secondary issue at this point. I am going to call Alex (from SW Autoworks) today and see what the deal is. Maybe he can just send replacement brackets or something. What a pain.....this is supposed to be one of the easiest mods to perform (I thought). It makes no sense to me that the GXE's accept the bars without a fight while the SE's (who probably need the bar more ) are struggling.

As for the interfering A/C hose, the little black plastic clip that holds it to the strut tower had already broken so it was easy for me to move it towards the engine and out of the way... BTW was I the first one on here with the OBX bar on a 3rd gen? *prideful*

BTW it is much easier to fit the FSTB on the VG b/c their intake mainfold goes to the front of the engine and doesn't sit right between the strut towers

I understand that

What I meant by my previous comment was that the companies who design the front strut bars should design them to the SE specs, since the Sport Edition connotation implies that these maximas are in 'greater' need of them because they have more powerful engines and better performance specs. It seems to me that a bar designed for a VE engine would fit on a VG engine easily, but not vice versa (as we have come to find).
