No, just pour the synthetic in put in a good filter and let it run... next time you change your oil you'll be flushing out the synthetic and whatever residue from the regular oil was left

hey i have been wanting to ask this question. What about when switching over from synthetic to regular oil. Is there something special i gotta do? and is it ok to mix 2 differnt types of synethetic oils? for example mobile 1 and penzoil synthetic brand. I heard its not good to mix but its ok to switch from symthetic to regular oil.

I don't think there will be a problem with switching from synthetic to regular oil. But the prices and the extra protection that u got with synthetic goes down the drain when u do a regular oil change. Might as well, just had used regular oil all the time cuz you are throwing your money away if u are switching from synthetic to regular oil.

Why is it a waste of money to switch TO synthetic? The oil offers better lubrication and protection that last well over 10,000 miles in most cases.

Duh, that's what I said. Synthetic offers better protection then regular oil and it would be a waste of money if he switches from synthetic oil to regular oil.
