Is it time for a tune up?(What part is require)

I know that the most nissan car get tune up every 60k and I'm reaching 120k and I was wondering what I have to change. This is the this is the things that I think I nead to change. So could you guys help?

-Water pump
-Spark plugs
-Fuel Filter
-timming belt (but nissan doesn't have timming belt they use limming chain
Correct)

SO if they use the timming chain do I have to get that replace with the timming chain tensioner, guide, and slack guide.

FAQ's..try and read them.

Water pump, only if it's leaking.
Spark plugs most likey--> BK5RE-11 I may have mixed letters/#'s up but the key ehre is "B" copper, and 5, heat range.

Fuel filter = yes

Chain tensioner should be ok.

While he's up there, maybe he can check your prostate.
You know the VQ30DE timing chain should last the life of the engine, right?

Yeah I believe you are right timming chain do last a long time, if I'm not mistaken when the timming chain begin to make noise then all they just need is to be tuned and the tensioner need to replace. But that's alot of money. I think I just get my fuel filter, spark plug, and ks, and have the radiator system flush. I think there is no need to mess with the timing chain if it is not making noise or causing and performance problem, as far as the water pumb goes I 'mprobably not going to change it unless it start to leak.

you are talking about some costly "preventive" repairs there....water pumps seldom go bad in a maxima...if ever. The knock sensor will have definte symptoms if its bad, and will put the engine in a fail safe mode if it does go bad.

the timing chain is good for life....any dealer telling you otherwise wants your money. The 95 and some 96's have a poor tensioner design that can cause rattles, but thats a detailed discussion. I replaced a bad tensioner in a max with 80K and the guides showed little signs of wear and the chain, sprockets were all in good shape.

Stick to plugs and a fuel filter for a tune up. Radiator flush, bleeding brakes and other fluid changes is good preventative maintenance as well.
