Stripe or no stripe?


I wanted to see what you guys think about the piece on the hood, a lot of people have been telling me to take it off. So most likely I will. What do you guys think? Why, what's wrong with it?

 

Dodge Neon was the first thing that came to my mind....BUT[I], each person has there own sense of creativity and style, so dont take offense to my comment. Just doesnt seem right on a Max.,not a clean look.

 

I like to be different =0 Tired of the same old look everyone does with their maxima, especially the 5th gen. If it's not the AE look, it's the other look with the huge )( BK. So far I'm happy with it because it really does look different. Like I said, I'll take clearer pics later when I have the digi cam again. All I wanted to know was whether or not I should keep the hood stripe on or take it off :P

If I saw this on the road, I'd point and laugh, but to each his own. Its your car, if you like it, go with it, if you're going to worry about what people think, then lose the stripe.

The best thing is that its vinyl, so its not permanent, its cool that you tried it/tested it out. Now you know.

Personally, the hood stripe is a little much. Just - The sides and the headlights would look cleaner together.

Nah I don't really care what people think, of course I'm going to receive bs from most org members, that's why I hate coming on here. I just wanted to know if I should keep the hood stripe on or not, not if the car looks good with the vinyl. I guess you people can't read huh? So far not one of you has answered my fu=)cking question...

 

Yeah I was going to go with black, but I thought about it, and everyone does that. I don't want to be like every other person on here with the same looking maxima. I guess I listened to you that one time we talked =) It wasn't hard taking apart the hls btw..

 

Yay finally someone answered my question =) thanks! I'll probably take off the hood stripe later..Only one other person liked it haha, that's out of 15 people. Everyone else says the samething, the sides do go with the hls, I was going to go with a royal blue, but I wanted it to be seen, I might change it to royal later..Dunno.. =) Thanks tho!

i donno maybe if u make the one on the hood a bit thinner, it may look a bit cleaner.

All I wanted to see was whether or not I should keep the hood stripe on, not the other two stripes. And my question was answered. Thanks And no I don't care what people think, how do you think I care? All I wanted to know was if the one on the hood should stay. That's it. I don't care if you think the sides are stupid looking or if it's ricey, as least I'm willing to do something different.

yeah the duals have finally settled down in sound they broke in so now they sound great. i ordered my new rims and will be here on Wed. theyt are Axis spider 19's w/ a 245/40/19 falken 451 tire.

yes, you should lose the hood stripe. (even though you don't care what anyone thinks, yet want suggestions. lol.)

here's a bonus answer. lose the side stripes too. actaully, especially.

Are you just being different for the sake of being different? Cuz thats what it sounds like. Or do you actually like the headlights, the side stripes and the hood stripe?

Not really diggin the car but if you like it, go with it. To answer your question, you got the blue headlights and side stripes, might as well leave the hood stripe

 

Not to be mean but what the hell are you doing to that Maxima?? Take off the blue. I have painted many interiors and body parts but that is aweful. The rims got to go, the blue has to go (period), blue and gray are not to be put together (at least that shade of blue)

Please don't take this to heart but return the looks to stock and leave it alone unless you don't care about being laughed at. In that case "To each his own"

P.S. - If you didn't care what people think why did you ask...

 

If you are keeping the other blue mods then keep the one on the hood as "they" go together.

My opinion on the overall look however is that it is not very attractive. As someone else already mentioned those shades of blue & grey don't seem to go together very well.

Hood stripe has seriosly got to leave your car. It really killed the look of the max. I think it was fine without the stripes and blue housing (AE would have been better) but as most people would agree it looks tacky. I give you props for trying to be different and bottom line is as long as you like the car's look keep it that way.

P.S. Yeah you shoulda went with black. Not many maximas have black stripes in the first place let alone graphics.

Ok, usually I keep to myself and never say anything about another persons car, but for crying out loud it looks Dodge's version of the Maxima. To finalize the whole rice theme with your car, I think you should get the Neon R/T symbol and put in on the back....haha.

 

Not a bad idea with the vinyl, but poor choice in colors. I think it would look good with maybe a charcoal stripe a little darker than your paint. The blue and grey just doesnt flow. Creativty=10 Looks=0

 

I showed the picture to my 6 year old son and asked him what he thought about it. He said, "I don't really like it because it has that blue stuff all over it".

 

after I saw this car.. I wanted to die... Imagine how the car feels....
