Man, that sucks! I would have said clay it, but you know what, since you just got it back from the body shop, I would take it back to them and ask them to please remove all the overspray. They will be able to get it off for you and it's kind of their job to do that don't you think?

Good advice Dr. Its their poor attention to detail that caused the problem. They should be the ones to fix it.

CM.

ps. The body shop I go to covers all vehicles in some sort of weird water soluble waxy coating prior to going into the shop. That way any overspray remains on top of the coating. They wash it off afterwards. Now thats attention to detail!

Yeah I would get them to remove it... hopefully they'll try to clay it off with "overspray clay" rather than trying to polish it off (brute force way). I would make sure they don't.....

If you end up HAVING TO do it yourself I would go to the Auto Magic or Clay Magic website and look for a local source of the RED overspray clay. Meguiar's makes one too, but there is less known about it... You will probably have to polish the paint a bit afterwards though. Good luck!

buff it out & it will go away....i used to do bodywork and my car would always get overspray from being on the lot... when you buff it, it'll disappear.
