Has anybody enlarged the speaker holes in the rear deck?

Has anybody enlarged the speaker holes in the rear deck?
I saw the other day where someone mentioned that they had enlarged the speaker holes, but I don't remember who. I am looking for the best way to go about doing that (which tools and such).

Remove thre rear deck cover. Measure and mark your desired dimension. Use a sawzaw. Take your time. Should take a few hours. I did it in my old 3rd gen.

i just cut my rear deck with box cutters and bought a bose cover. not the highest quality job but people think i have a bose system now when in reality its alot more.

Do you mean you used tin snips? How hard was it to cut?

I haven't done much cutting on sheet metal, so I don't know what I'm in for. I do have a sawsall, so I will try that.

my max has the bose cutout in the metal part of the rear deck. so all i had to do was cut the hole in the cardboard rear deck.
