Interior Lighting anybody?

Well, I won a couple of computer-modding Cold Cathode tubes through a competition on pimprig.com and am wanting to put them in my 4th gen max. I was thinking I'd mount one under the dash on the driver's side and one under the passenger's side. Has anybody done this? I think it'd give a cool effect, if you have done it: did you just wire straight into the fuse box? I was thinking I'd draw off the power going to the gauges (that way the lights would turn on whenever I turn on my lights, makes sense to me... ? ) Thanks.

yeah i think uhm a lot of ppl have it...i have it, and i ran it to my fuse box and i installed a switch between my two cupholders in the center console for em to turn on and off, no need for them to be on during the daytime....but to each his own

Cool, thanks. As long as it's not a dumb idea or anything I will do it. I know it'll look cool which is mostly what matters. I'll install the rocker switches that the CCs came with but I think i'll just keep 'em in the on position all the time but wire it into the gauge line so that they only turn on when i have my headlights on/thus only when it's dark outside. Cool. I'll use the fuse box as well.

I live in Thornton, CO. Wanna meet up some time? My Max isn't really anything special right now, but if yours is it'd be cool to see.

Not really...just the basic clear corners, 2nd gen altezzas, FSB, optima red top battery, indep wiring for fogs, alumminum dash kit, graphite stock rims, red calipers, brembo slotted/drilled rotors, some interior illumination with LED....it sounds like a lot but it is pretty basic...what about you?

I haven't done anything yet. My car has some basic mechanical problems that needed and need to be worked out before any visual mods. Right now I'm saving up to do paint and spoiler (maybe Bodykit). I will also be getting new floormats (i don't have any), a dash kit, gauge kit, gauge bezel, gauge rings. i'll leave the cars performance as it is for now, mainly I want this car for driving and not racing... the luxury over the speed. But I might take it to highschool drags so I can kill all the civics and crap that others will be taking. Of course I will also be pwned by the stangs and camaros that others drive. You should see it though, one guy has this riced out Ford Fiesta at my school... complete with rims, giant hood scoop, roof scoop... and ugly girlfriend.

lol your poor car doesnt have floormats, man get some cheapo rubber floormats atleast. I got some for the front to put over the stock ones so they dont get all stained up with mud and salt in the winter. As for the interior lighting, I havent done it on my max... yet atleast. Its pretty easy though. YOu can wire them up to turn on with the rest of your interior lights.. like when you open the door or just a regular on off switch.. your call. But its pretty easy and when done right it looks awesome.. good luck
