I sold my four Bose amps and speakers after I removed them from my 3rd gen. The guy I bought sold them wants the front enclosures now and he has filed a PayPal fraud transaction report.

I did not state, bose amps, speakers, and enclosures. Am I at fault?

I wouldn't mind sending him the front enclosures, but the front ones were damaged when I removed them from the door, so I kept them and used their backs for my aftermarket speakers. And now, I don't want to take them out again.

What are your guys thoughts on this?

thanks

hahah.. well personally, i would like to slap him upside the face. call paypal and tell them that you stated exactly what you were selling. if he can't read or ask questions, that is his fault. i also am using the back of my bose pods. dont give away free stuff man.

well, I tried not to do that in the beginning...I tried to help him get hold of some new ones, but he didn't want anything but what I had ;p. if he was just some guy i'd brush him off, but he's one on the board, I don't know his .org name anymore though.

speaker sale - my 5 Cents

without the intention of starting a flame war, I side with the buyer. The front bose speaker enclosure holds the amp, the connectors and because the enclosure is tuned, it sounds the way it does, and makes it fit the weird opening in the door. Just a piece of wood is no substitute for that. If you only wanted to sell the drivers, I would have noted clearly "drivers only", it would have been the exception, not the rule to not include the box.

How would you feel if you ordered some home speakers mail order, and only the drivers appeared? After you call the saleman he says "you wanted the enclosure too????" I don't think you'd feel pretty good about the deal, or the company that took your money.

I hope you guys can work it out. A damaged enclosure is better than no enclosure.

Good luck,

John

I'm with you on this one, ngthing. If you didn't expressley say 'enclosures' than he isn't getting them. You wouldn't rip out the mounting brackets in the rear, would you? Tell this guy, 'Tough titty.'
