Rear/Right O2 sensor
Rear/Right O2 sensor
Currently out, as its thread was stripped when removing from the stock Y-pipe...
What are my options? If I can get a replacement sensor, obviously that will fix it, but it there something cheaper I can do? Can the nut be replaced without messing with the sensor? It's just triggered the CEL, will this affect drivability in any way? Are there differences between the front/left sensor & the r/r? Presumably the harness is a different length, but can they be interchanged?
Any help or info is, as always, gratefully appreciated
Thanks fellas

do you mean front right o2 sensor? its the middle one of the 3 that our cars have.
options
1) reset computer, wait a while until the cel comes back on. (if it does then goto step2)
2) replace it
if its in the y-pipe it will make your acceleration lag.

Do you think I could try this?

It's just the thread that's the problem... Will this work?
Thanks again

option 3, if the bung on the ypipe is stripped or cross threded take it to a shop and have them weld in a new one. I had the same problem with the post-cat O2, i eventally had to remove the exhaust component and grind it out (nasty).
