Well, hello all. I'm new here and I'm gonna pick up my Maxima tomorrow. Its a 1992 Brougham Edition. I'm in Canada so it has different seatbelts than the US version (or so I read).

Anyway I've got some questions and would appreciate any suggestions.

1. What am I suppose to call my car? SE GXE ect..
2. What kind of engine specifications does it have. HP, Tourqe, ect.
3. What kind of fuel sould I use.

I read in the manual that I need to depress the accelerator when starting up the car or something along those lines. What is that all about?

I'll think of some more questions later.

thanks

I'm also from Canada and have heard of the Brougham model. I'm not sure exactly butmy pops used to have one when I was little. I know it has some nice features like seat warmers and a digital speedometer or something of the sort.

In term of the engine you have, pop your hood. On the hood itself when it is open there should be a sticker with the engine model on it. VE30DE is 190 horses and VG30DE is 160.

Where in Canada you from?

Should be VG30E and not "VG30DE".

I'm in Toronto (Mississauga).

I've got the Car now and its's sweet except:

I think the rear right speaker is blown cause whenever I listen to something with bass it makes a ratteling noise.

My cd player skips often whenever I go over bumps. But its dosen't make sense cause it skips randomly not on every bump but usually.

My digital clock dosen't work sometimes (randomly works). I think that there are some wires loose and they are not connected well and that's why the clock and cd player screw up.

And finally my antenna dosen't work. I can hear the motor working but the antenna dosen't go up or down. (I can easily pull it out by hand)

Any Suggestions????

I'll also post this as a separate topic to get more answers.
