iPod through my Alpine head unit. pics inside.

Hey,

Anyone heard of this thing. When will it be avail? Can I use any HU that has Ai-net or any HU out this year?

This sounds like an answer from the heavens if it lives up to my expectations.

Looks like a new HU for me. I heard that this KCA thing is lightyears ahead of the BMW version (also made by Alpine, i believe).

It has been on Alpines web site for several months. It supposed to be out at the end of the month. I plan on getting one myself, I have the Alpine 9835.

the demo part makes seem easy to use, plus it charges it for you. i'm pulling out my cd changer out of my trunk. changer w/12 cds vs. ipod 10000 songs.

seems like a waste of money to me. Cause by the time you learn how to control your I-Pod through the Alpine deck you could have just manually selected what tracks you wanted on the i-pod itself. Kool product though!

push a couple buttons on the deck and you are listening to your desired song... not too tough for me. no need to juggle your ipod while driving (you can even use your HU remote!) plus it gets charged and you dont loose audio quality. is there a better way to use your ipod in your car? if so, please let me know before i spend my $$ on the KCA.

Ya it really isnt that tought, the display will show up on the radio and the Alpines also have a search function where you cans earch folders, song title, artist name and so on so in reality it will be a whole lot easier than running the ipod plus you can hide the ipod in the glove box out of the way.
