Rpms Moving Up Slower When Flooring....
HEY Guys i got a 99 SE-L maxima auto when i floor the car it thinks for a second for the rpms to go up this was never happpening and i dont floor the car often i got 70 k do u think its a ignition coil pack gone bad and hwo do i check the ecu for codes thanks
99 coil packs are a pretty common problem from what i've heard. To check the ECU for codes, remove the little plastic cover next to the accelerator, then use a screw driver to turn the little screw (under a plastic cover)... your car will need to have the ignition on, the check engine light will start flashing, count the number of long and short blinks. 0505 is an all clear. Good luck and have fun, more in the FAQ's.
