Is there any difference in the Japanese and US version of the VQ engine?

Hp variation or MPG

I think there are 2 or 3 Nissan Cefiro engines in Japan. I think one of them is a 2.0 liter 4 banger, then theres a 2.5 V6 and a 3.0 V6. I know we allready have the best engine from the Cefiro.

Tolerance

When I was test-driving 2000 I30, a salesman who used to be Infiniti technician for 10+ years said that the same engin on US market is of different piston tolerance. He mentioned a number of it that I don't remember whether it's tighter than that on other market or the other way around.

good

not to sound ridiculous but the quality of the VQ's have been very good. I am not sure about future US versions when they are built here...
