Illuminas on eBay.. hmm

Apparently this auction below is selling the Illuminas and lowering springs for $500:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=7922779238

My question: Is this the same as if I were to go to CustomEnterprise and purchase their "Illumina Series Suspension Kit"?

http://www.customenterprise.com/view.../vts/design004

The ones in the eBay auction are the same as CustomMaxima, right?

Thanks,
Dan

Alright, cool. I'll probabaly buy one after I get home today. So excited

Also - Is this a mod which many people get installed at a shop? I don't really have the tools I don't think to do this myself, so I should probably take this to a shop and have them do it? Shouldn't be too hard of an install should it?

Hey I'm really thinking of buying these.. but in the auction he states the drop is 1.25", but the Tokica springs are 1.3/1.5, any idea what's going on?

Thanks,
Dan

Yeah, I'm curious on that too. In fact, I've heard the Tokico springs will lower the car a tad more than the 1.5/1.3 claim. Also, I wonder if the drop on front and rear is even or not. And, how comparable the ride is to H & R springs.

Guys help!

Want to replace all the factory suspension parts that you need to complete the coilover setup with the illumina kit.

What parts do I need to get for front/rear??

I bought this same kit, from this same seller, about 6 mos. ago. I'm very happy with it! It did lower the car more than advertised. I got 1 5/8" drop in front and 1 3/4" drop in the rear. Ride height is now dead even front to back with my 5-speed. Lots of fun and still pretty tolerable ride quality (I'm a family man. If I were single, it'd be downright comfy.)

If I understand what you're asking...you just want to know what additional parts will need to be replaced when installing this kit? Here's what I bought:
Front strut mount kit (with strut bearings)
Front and rear strut boots.....KYB SB108 and SB103

I was able to re-use everything else, and installation went fine. Took about 3 hrs for all 4 corners, with air tools.
Enjoy.

Hey thanks...the front strut mount kit...did you get that from the factory? Do you have a p/n?

How are the KYB boots holding up? I've heard some people had ripping problems?

I have KYB dustboots. Haven't checked them lately, will soon though, my right front Sprint Spring is squeaking nicely

But I'm pretty sure they are holding up just fine. The last time I was under there the right front looked in good shape.

On the front suspension the top black rubber part, that the spring settles into, if these are worn replace immediately. Not sure what they're called. My right front was a little worn, but I didn't replace it I think that's part of my squeaking problem.
