Dads, Please Step In. (car seat question)

does a rear facing car seat work very well in the middle of a 5th gen, or would i be better off putting it in one of the outboard positions?

thanks!

Both rear & front-facing work a LOT better in the outboard position. The center seems too tippy. I always use the right rear so the driver can easily see the kid. If you're concerned about side-impact collisions, the NHSTA site probably has some stats.

+1 on that one. But i prefer putting it behind the driver's seat so i can position the rearview mirror to look at the baby (or for rear facing seats have a mirror by the headrest)

thanks guys. i put it behind the passenger seat and went to the car seat
inspection. they agreed with the placement 'cause of the contour of the seat.
thanks for the advice!
