I have a 01 max se and i am having a weird problem with my power locks. I can't unlock the doors with my key, only the remote will work and as soon as i pull the handle to open any door, they lock again. i set up an appointment with the dealer to fix it. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks

 

Are you using the Valet key? Also.. maybe you should nuke 2 of these 3 threads.

I have never used my key. But the key lock on the drivers and passenger doors contains a wire that sends a negative disarm signal to the security system when the key is used.

 

The other week, as soon as I closed my door, all the door locks locked. Initially, I thought I was just imagining it, attributing it to a short-term-memory problem. And since it hasn't happened since, I still thought it was just me. But now I think that I have a semi-twitchy electronic lock. I don't know.

The dealer should be able to take care of the problem.

If not, get an exorcist to get rid of that particular demon.
