light stays on even when lights are off?

it has been raining here a lot the past few days, so I am guessing this has to do with the wetness. Anyway, when i turn my headlights off, my passenger side marker (the light that comes on when you turn you blinker on) stays on. It stays on whether or not the ignition is on or off. Anyone had any problems with this...right now I am unhooking the battery over night and also when I get to work. I know I can just pull the bulb but I would rather fix the problem. Thanks.

The turn signal itself in the bumper? Or do you mean the cornering lamp beside the headlight?

sorry for not being clear...it is the light beside the headlight....that acts as a corner lumination when you put your turn signal on.

I know on my 85 there's a double relay on the inner fenderwell behind the battery that controls them. Could be a short in there or the relay is stuck. If you want I can snap a pic of which one it is for you.

Hehe, I know, I haven't cleaned under there in a long time. It's pretty grubby, and somehow I knew you'd be the first one to say something about it,S!

Heh, if you still have that FSTB, I'll be passing through on my way to Oregon on the 18th, and again on my way back on the 25th.

Actually I do. I live about 20 miles north of Seattle, and work in downtown Seattle.

ok...I found the relay (black box) and I was pulling on it trying to get the plug out from the bottom of it. While I was messing with it the light went off...so I left it. Well, this morning I got in my car to go to work and as soon as I turned the key over the light came back on (this is while my lights are off). Is there anyway to fix this? Sould I just get one at the Junk Yard and plug it in? Thanks.
