Parking lights no longer working while locking/unlocking with remote....

My aftermarket alarm (Compustar) has been working flawlessy for the last 4 years but suddenly the parking lights no longer flicker while locking and unlocking from my remote. This was very useful when I needed to find my car in a dark parking lot. Anyone had this problem or know how to fix it? Thnx!

if you can try looking at the parking light fuse comin off the alarm brain(should be a white wire). IF that seems ok then i would have to say the circuit on the alarm has burned out

I went to take a look at the alarm brain and followed all the wires for as far as I can see and I could not find the parking light fuse you're talking about. Could it be somewhere under the hood rather then under the dashboard?

Anyone else have any suggestions?

Do your normal turn signals work? Hazard lights? If so, then you have probably grounded out a BCM wire. If you need to find your car, activate the panic button and honk your horn.

You may consider performing the alarm beep mod.

just wondering if you have messed with any of your door switches lately. one time i was wiring my speaker for the passenger door and the harness came out of the switch which for some odd reason, made the lights not blink when i locked the doors.

Thanks for all of your replys. ny96max was correct about the parking light's fuse. I went back and found a black 12 gauge wire that was connected with a fuse receptor which had a melted 10A fuse. Replaced the fuse and now the parking lights are working again! ny96max tips really helped. Thanks.
