what exactly is wrong with your motor? i fixed mine when it was making a bad noise because my wires were crossing and rubbing and saved myself the money of buying a new one.

there are only a few bolts that hold it all up. 3 for the motor itself if you unbolt them, it can swing down. the track itself seems easy to get off but you need to be careful with the window/glass itself. if you have a haynes or chilton's manual, they have right ups on how to do it.

Basically, there is no response with the switch... It looks hard to get behind that thick azz wall. DOes anyone have any writeups or do i need to get a chilton manual? Also, whats up with my plugging in the new device and it not working from the switches? COuld it be messed up to?

He he. You need a lot of patience for this job. I changed my rear window regulator and motor. After I took the door panel off I just stared at everything for two hours or so like I was looking at a Zen puzzle. I thought I had the wrong side regulator....long story short get the haynes manual. I'm assuming your removed your window first (correct?). This makes the job much easier and helps you understand how the whole mechanism works . I wish I could walk you through it, but without a manual or looking at it, I'm not very good at explaining how to do it...

Bottom line, I'm not very mechanically inclined and the job was not hard. Actual removal and install of the regulator and motor was pretty easy. It was just hard figuring out which bolts to remove....sorry if this rambling doesn't help.

I never took the window out. Its rolled all the way up.. Do i need to manually push it down the rail until i can easily access it and remove the 2 screws next to it.. and replace everything? Also it kind of scares me that when i hooked up the new regulator/motor and tried it from my drivers door switch it didnt do anything... ???? Is that normal? or it it already BROKEN? thanks

hmm, sounds like your switch might have been the one to go. see if you can hook it up to another switch on another door and see if it works. you shouldn't have to take the window out to replace the motor and regulator...i have replaced a few and i've never had to take the window completely out.

Matt, if it wont roll down with my drivers door switch or the passenger switch.. i thought its the motor or the regulator? Also, that still puzzles me that the new one would even work. Also, would you be willing to do a small writeup on this and getting the door off??? Hate to be a pain in the A$$ but i messed my panel up alil trying to get the handle part off.
