I am sadly leaving the .ORG

I have a stuck valve and no compression in cylinder 3. I can get another 87 Max for $100, but do not see it feesable to swap engines.

I will not be parting this car out, however I may purchase the $100 Max to part out.

Anyway, I will be getting a 99 Volvo S70 GLT loaded by the end of the week with $800 trade-in from the Max.

That sucks man, either way good luck the volvo. They are pretty nice cars despite thier size. I have a 97 960 Sedan, and they are really nice...especially for long trips and what not.

Yeah my mom had a 1995 850 GLT. They are great cars for road trips and all. Have fun! Sorry about your max.

Let me know if you wind up with a decent fuel pump from the parts car and a power window switch bank from the driver's door.

Sorry to see anyone's max die. That is why I am trying to get mine going again.

thought:

why not get a cylindar head from a $100 parts car and swap just that...seems worth it to me if thats the only major thing wrong and when you do it it would be easy to get a new timing belt on....just a thought

try fixing it, but if it gives you more problems, just get rid of it and get another max!

I already put $1500 in parts and shop time into the car. It's a great old car that no one has. I do not have the knowledge or time to fix the engine myself. The shop quoted me $1200 for engine work.
