i have cold air blowing instead of hot

i have cold air blowing instead of hot

1989 maxima blows cold air no heat help.... do i need a heater core or a thermostat its my first max im confused

good chance of it being the heater core....did the same in my '89 as well only i had steam coming through the vents

1. Make sure your heater controls are set right, and you are not bringing in outside air
2. Check your fluid level
3. Check thermostat
4. Check heater core

if its blowing hot then yea check what bronco guy said, howeveri vote heater core too...

I would say heater core.

does anyone elses car make a clinky sound when the turn on their air???????

alright when my a/c or heat can only turn on highest fan doesn't that mean my fan control amp is bad?
