front strut bar

i have just recieved my front strut bar from courtesy nissan for my 98 maxima gxe . any one have any opinions on how to install it???

Second easiest mod you can do. Just unbolt, install, then rebolt. ta-da! Enjoy.

three bolts up ontop of the strut tower. I believe they are 12mm. Unbolt slip on the bracket and re-bolt, ta da!!

What's the easiest mod?

There are probably a lot that could fall under that category.

Yeah, FSTB, everything will fall into place once you open the hood. If it takes more than 15 minutes to install, something is wrong.

Dont over torque the bolts, about 35 ft/lbs is good.

Bolts on a 95-98 are 14mm, a 99 is 22 or 23mm

This is another good page to look at. Your '98 will not require any cutting. It is an easy bolt-on.

That's strange, I have a '98 and mine were 22mm (maybe 23 -- it was three weeks ago, I can't remember).

Those big acorn nuts are 22mm.

Make sure not to over tighten the bolts.

The bolts on my 97 Maxima GXE were a lot smaller than my friends 98 Maxima SE. Strange?

I think you mean nuts, not bolts. Nissan changed to larger nuts in '98. I don't know why.
