Just curious if anyone here with a 4th gen 5 speed stock has ever raced a 2k and up Maxima and/or Infiniti i30 with the 222/227 HP engine. Let me know. I am hoping my 5 speed will make the difference.

My 95, with as many accessories on in the car as possible (including A/C) and a passenger, took a 2K GLE by about a 3/4 of a car length to 80, so I would think you should have no problem. Both cars were stock BTW.

I had a guy at a Nissan Dealership tell me that the new Max is not much faster that 4 Gen Max. My friend also rented one and he told me it didn't seem much faster either.

well a 95 Max 5spd vs 2k Max 5spd its so close its all up to driver 15.2 vs 14.9

a 97 5spd would take a great driver to beat a 2k Max 5spd.. but ask Quansung.. because I have done it .. muahhahahahahah

i got one.

I got a 95 SE (stick) with intake and i beat a 2K that was lowered and had either a tip or exhaust, i dont know if it was an automatic or anything.... I think that the 95s are the fastest at 6.6 0-60 while the 2Ks are 6.7. I know one of the magazines timed a 95 5 speed at 6.6. A lot of the other magazines are different year models etc...

I forget what Motor Trend I read this in but they claim that the fastest time from 0-60 was done in a 3rd Gen Max SE. The time was 6.2. I was like Damn!!!
