Would you put 15" on in the winter?

Having a hard time trying to find studdable winter tires in 215-55R16 or ones that don't cost over $100 ea. If I put on 15" rims, with a higher profile tire I can get an easier to find tire in a more common size that around 1/2 the price (205-65-R15). Well, that's my thinking. The narrorower tire with a higher profile gives better snow traction anyways at the cost of cornering (it's not like fast cornering is a big concern on a cold, slippery, winter days).

Thoughts? Anyone else done this?

Quite a few guys change out their wheel/tire setup during the winter months. Sounds logical to me

I used to do that until I got my BBK. Now I need 17" in the snow. Thankfully I found a set of used wheels and snow tires for cheap.
