changing the timing belt

When changing the timing belt what else should I have replaced? Right now I am planning on doing the: timing belt, water pump, and cylinder head temp sensor. What else should I have replaced while everything is pulled apart? Will the intake manifold gasket be easy to get to at this point? Please let me know. The car has 263k on it. Thanks.

Most people recommend changing the t-belt tensioner pulley/bolt too while your in there. I didn't bother, mine seemed fine. Are you doing the work yourself?

I probably will not do the work myself...I would like to, but I really dont know if I have the time, and since I have never done this before it would probably take forever. Unless someone here can talk me into it, and is pretty positive I can do it in a day then maybe I will...if not then I will just pay for it.

thanks for the help...I am getting quotes right now and trying to find parts.

-is the cylinder head temp. sensor (CHTS) the same thing as the cylinder head coolant temp sensor? The reason i ask is because at my nissan dealer ship that was the only sensor that sounded even close to what I was looking for...let me know

No, the CHTS doesn't monitor coolant temp. Just the temp of the head itself.

The CHTS is part #22630-01P01 thats for the sensor
The harness is 24078-16E00
You should pay about 50 bucks for both.

You should put a UDP in while your at it! Good luck finding one!

You should do a new t-stat and radiator hose as well, as well as check your power steering lines, and do whatever clean up while your in there.

I already have a new thermostat and radiator hoses...and I have no clue where to find the underdrive pulley, other than that one hector was trying to get rid of a while ago...but I really dont feel like spending $100 bux for the pulley. ASP could probably make me one?
