Recommended Tire Width for 17"x7" ?? (yr 95)

I just bought a set of 17x7 rims (40mm offset) for my 95 Maxima. I'm wondering what size tire I should throw on them?

I have two questions:

1) I was looking around at http://www.yokohamatire.com/utrimwidth.asp and they basically show that my rims aren't wide enough for a 235/45/17. Now is that only for their tires, or am I pooched for that size category with my rim width of 7 inches?

2) Has anyone had problems with 235/45/17 rubbing ? I was thinking 225/50/17 if the 235's are too wide.

Any recommendations/advice would be great.

Thanks guys

and the answer is...

Well I should have done my reading... it turns out someone had a similar question on 17"x7" rims.

For anyone else in my situation, here's the answer from Norm (quite thorough):

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=342089

225/50/17 for 17"x7" rims -- any wider isn't safe to mount on a 7" wide rim.
