i ve been having a hard time starting my car, and when i reverse sometimes the car just turns off on me. I also have really bad gas mileage and my car doesnt really haul *** like it should. So i took it to my (mechanic) to find what was going on , he said that he had the car scanned and that the knock sensor and the cam sensor was bad so i replace them today. tell me why that s**t is still giving me a hard time to start ,but the car is hauling *** again , he told me that the crankshaft sensor was also bad and that the cam and the crank sensor work together. what should i do, does this sound right. should i believe him or is he right

Is your check engine light still on? If so pull the code from it. A faulty crankshaft position sensor could very well cause hard starts. There are 2 crankshaft sensors, one is called POS and the other is REF. POS is located on the transmission bell housing, under the car. REF is located on the lower pully. Make sure you replace the correct one.
