anyone do this? i read that the only difference from 4th gens and 5th gens (performance wise) was the intake manifold and exhaust system. has anyone here put the 5th gen intake manifold onto a fourth gen? is it worth doing it? i've called a few salvage yards but no one seems to have a wrecked 5th gen. any thoughts?

There are lots of detail differences between the two engines. That plastic 5Gen intake manifold won't fit on a 4Gen engine.

Even if you found a wrecked 5Gen the salvage yard wouldn't sell you just the intake. If he has a complete late-model engine he will sell it only as a unit.
